Kathy Glass
Kathy is the 2009 Treasurer for the Gulf Coast Chapater of AHDI.
I am a former middle school reading teacher who taught in HISD for fourteen years. I went back to college at Prairie View A&M to complete my bachelor's degree after my children went to school. I earned a BS in Secondary Education with a specialization in composite social studies. I also earned my MEd in Reading from Prairie Vew. When I was unable to find employment in another school district, about three years ago, I looked for something else to do and medical transcription won out. I find the subject very challenging and enjoy the learning experiences I have had as I have trained. I love language and the mechanics and word parts that make English what it is.
I have two daughters, ages 32 and 28 and a 10-year-old granddaughter. My husband and I have been married for 35 years. For hobbies, I read mysteries, sew, quilt a little, crochet and occasionally work on my family's genealogy.
